Weekend Stuff {10/31-11/1}
Happy Friday! It would seem another week has passed and it is now the weekend once again...so...here's a recap of last weekend. I am afraid I will perpetually be one week behind in recapping my weekends...whoops.
When we got home last Friday night, this food was ready for our tastebuds to enjoy.
Porkchops, broccoli, and butternut squash/sweet potato casserole
Saturday morning, I used my Apple Cinnamon Flapjacked pancake mix and added pumpkin puree because it was Halloween and you have to eat pumpkin on Halloween. I think that is a law somewhere...
Topped with the usual toppings: maple almond butter, banana, and cinnamon
I spent part of the morning renewing my passport (my picture is actually good!) and grocery shopping with my mom (of course). (: I spent the rest of my afternoon doing homework and practicing piano.
Dinner was epic.
Apple cider glazed salmon, lentil mash, avocado, and sweet potato. We also made mummy dogs (hot dogs wrapped in crescent roll dough) because it was Halloween...and well...mummies are Halloweeny.
All of my siblings went Trick or Treating this year. Scott dressed up as Donald Trump, Glenn dressed up as Donald Trump's security guard, and Katie dressed up as The Doctor (from Dr. Who). I went as the Mom. I literally just followed them around and laughed when people realized Scott was Donald Trump (peoples' reactions were about half and half postivie and negative, by the way).
When we got home, we watched 'It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown', a tradition in our household.
Sunday morning, we went to church, and then came home, had luch, then celebrated part of my sister's birthday. Her birthday was Monday, but because we wouldn't be able to be home on her birthday, she opened her presents and we had cake.
Isn't she so beautiful?? Also, I can't believe she's fifteen. AHHH
I had my usual breakfast for dinner (fried eggs and avocado toast...YUM). Glenn and I didn't head back until Monday morning, though, because we wanted another night in our own beds.
Do you all have Halloween traditions?
